The movie“30 minutes”: this is a physiological thriller at its best. One that deals with time past, present, and future. The impact it has upon our lives. No matter how old you get or how good things are going; your past can still affect you whether you are inwardly or outwardly aware of it.
Our main character has a great life, a good life. Successfully working at a private company.
That is until;lingering, haunting, traumatic, and disturbingflashbacks from his past trigger memories that are deep inside of him. Horrific memories of his father brutally abusing and torturing a young boy to prove the point of being on time. The effects of the abuse takes his toll and as he goes on with his life. As situations in his life mount up and begin to overwhelm him he just isn’t able to cope.
He needs relief, freedom, and solace from these nightmares so he can move forward and on with his life. He begins to snap and his life starts to unravel along with his sanity. Forming and masterminding an elaborate, treacherous, exhilarating gamefor the people in his life and even strangers. All in hopes, so he can finally be free from the memories and torment he has experienced. As the saying goes “Time Never Waits.” That is never truer than in this Russian roulette kind of game.
It is a unique film and showcases the importance of living each moment as if it were your last.
The music of the film is distributed by the ever popular Zee Music Company. The film’s music directors are Jaspal Moni, Naresh Vikal, Ashok Sharma, and Haroon. The lyrics are penned by Haroon, BabbiKhakh, Santosh Kumar, Palwinder Pal Singh, Sanjay Dhupa, and Zaheen Sha Taji. As well as a large chorus of singers bringing the music to life. They include; Asha Bosle, Shaan, KunalGanjawala, Anuja Sinha, Javed Ali, Jaswinder Bunty.
There was even a special award given to one of the movies singers. Singer, AshnaBhosle was garner with a grand prize of being the Guiness Book of World Records. She is eighty-three years old and has sung continuously for seventy-three years in Bollywood films. Starting with her first singing performance way back in the year 1943! Asha Bhosle is a music industry record breaker. Her voice has been featured in solo, chorus, and duets. With over 11,000 recordings to her name. Her work has been sung and showcased in an astonishing 2o Indian languages. Many of us can only speak one or two!
A special premiere of our film, “3o Minutes” was held in Mumbai India last week on December 8th.
