Rock On 2 Bollywood Movie Review

Rock On 2 Is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2008 film “Rock On.” The story continues on with following the band Magik. Who has now added a few new members to its roster.“Rock On 2” is an Indian Hindi, Drama, Musical Film.

This film is produced by and stars Farhan Akhtar as the main male lead. Farhan Akhtar is truly a renaissance man with writing, directing, producing, singer, song-writer, and he even hosts tv shows.

The film is brought to you by the same directors, writers, producers of such previous Bollywood hits as the following: Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Magik the band, reunites after not playing together for many years. They come back together and hit the road. But not all it the same as it was, the band runs into trouble. Fame and the spotlights definitely aren’t what it seems to be. They come together for a common cause to shed light on the struggles in Northeast India.

Our story, it follows our band leader Adita (played by Farhan Akhtar).Shai (played by Shraddha Kapoor) who a young girl is trying to find her place in the world and use her gift of singing. Joseph “Joe” (played by Arjun Rampal). Adita’s wife Saskshi (played by Prachi Desai).

As the film trailer depicts, “every generation has it’s own sound.”

For this to be a musical film, you know that the music has to be great. So, they brought in Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to compose and arranged the soundtrack. Javed Akhtar composed the lyrics for the songs.

There has been a great deal of promotion going on for this movie. From social media to many appearances by the cast on India’s favorite tv shows. You can’t miss this movie if you want a great time. Essentially, it’s like you’re at an awesome concert throughout. The movie is went on the road when they had a live show in September as promotion for the movie and it’s music. The soundtrack features nine songs that go with the heart of the movie and get you dancing and moving to the beats. It truly rocks you out and serenades you with its sounds. The movies leads Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor are featured in almost all of the songs of the soundtrack.
