Arshad Warsi Joins Vikrant Massey in Rajkumar Hirani’s OTT Debut
Arshad Warsi, known for his iconic role in the “Munna Bhai” series, is set to collaborate once again with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for an eagerly awaited OTT project. This cyber-crime thriller, tentatively named “Pritam Pedro,” will also star Vikrant Massey in a leading role. Hirani, known for his blockbuster movies, is venturing into the digital entertainment realm with this series. He will take on the role of showrunner-producer, while Amir Satyaveer Singh, his assistant director, will direct the series.
The series, as reported by Mid-Day, is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. It revolves around two unique cyber cops named Pritam and Pedro, portrayed by Vikrant Massey and Arshad Warsi, respectively. A member of the creative team shared, “While Raju sir is renowned for his comedies, this series will see him delve into the crime drama genre with his signature touch of humor. He may even direct a few episodes himself.”
Pedro, played by Arshad Warsi, is portrayed as a seasoned cop who relies on traditional methods to solve crimes. In contrast, Pritam, portrayed by Vikrant Massey, is depicted as a young tech enthusiast who leverages advanced technology to crack cases. The filming for “Pritam Pedro” is set to commence in Goa in November. Initially, the production team considered locations in North India but settled on the picturesque coastal state of Goa. Additionally, shooting will also take place in Mumbai and Pune.
