Close Family Friend Remembers Vipin Reshammiya
Prior to his passing, Vipin Reshammiya had been battling breathing problems and was hospitalized in Mumbai. The news of his demise has left close family friend Vanitha Thapar reflecting on her strong bond with the deceased. She shared her sorrow with ETimes, reminiscing about the deep connection she shared with him. Vanitha expressed, “He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm. I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps. A Legacy of Musical Talent
Although Vipin Reshammiya was a gifted composer in his own right, he made a conscious decision not to pursue a full-time career in music, choosing instead to focus on nurturing his son’s musical abilities. While Vipin gained recognition for his work on various television shows, his main priority was always to support Himesh’s artistic growth. He took immense pride in Himesh’s musical talent and saw potential in him from an early age.
For those unfamiliar with Vipin’s contributions, he produced films like The Xposé (2014) and Teraa Surroor (2016), both featuring Himesh in prominent roles. Additionally, Vipin composed music for the unreleased film Insaaf Ka Suraj (1990). Himesh once revealed that a planned collaboration between his father and Salman Khan ultimately paved the way for his own breakthrough as a music director in the 1998 film Jab Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, starring Salman Khan and Kajol.
Remembering a Music Maestro
The legacy of Vipin Reshammiya will forever be remembered in the music industry, his influence transcending generations. His contributions to the world of music, albeit behind the scenes, have left an indelible mark on his son’s successful career.
