The renowned actress Alia Bhatt is set to charm the audience once again with her upcoming film, Jigra, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Vasan Bala. Scheduled for release on Dussehra, exclusive reports from MyAxom Reviews reveal that the movie has already proven to be a lucrative project for Dharma Productions.

Insider sources have disclosed that the budget for Jigra stands at Rs. 80 crores, with an additional Rs. 10 crores allocated for printing and promotion. Remarkably, Dharma has recuperated the entire sum of Rs. 90 crores through the sale of digital and satellite rights alone. Every rupee generated from music rights and theatrical releases will now translate into a profit for Dharma. Karan Johar’s strategic acumen shines through once again with Jigra, a film tailor-made for the multiplex and urban audience, securing unprecedented deals for the genre through his influence and reputation,” shared a source with MyAxom Reviews.
The source further mentioned that Jigra commanded premium prices due to the collaborative efforts of Vasan Bala and Alia Bhatt. “Vasan’s previous work, Monica O My Darling, performed well on Netflix, much like Alia’s Darlings. When Netflix proposed this dynamic duo, and Karan made it a reality, the platform agreed to a premium fee of Rs. 70 crores for Jigra. Additionally, the team secured another Rs. 20 crores from satellite rights,” revealed the source.
Jigra is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 11, 2024.
