Tum Bin 2 Movie Review

“Tum Bin 2” picks up where the original story left off a surprising fifteen year later after the first. In 2001, the Original Tum Bin was released. It was a surprising hit and success for the movie. As well as the cast of new actors when it debuted. The director Anubhav Sinha made his directorial debut as well with the first film, “Tum Bin.”Anubhav went on the direct a few of the most Mumbai Film’s most beloved and notable films.

Tum Bin 2 showcases the progression of the relationships blossoming from the stage of friendships to love. It features the story of highs and lows not only of love but of this couple’s personal lives as well. Our stories, main love interests are Amar and Taran.

Tum Bin 2 Movie Review

It’s a sad, melancholy romance that will have you believing in the power of true love and the sacrifices it involves.
With the opening scenes, our young and very happy in love couple goes away for a holiday. Suddenly, things change for the worse as a tragic, climatic skiing accident happens. The accident involves the main lead Amar, (played by Aashim Gulati) who decides to go skiing by himself.

The search parties have been sent out but after many days they aren’t able to retrieve Amar’s body. So, they them presume he is dead.

The sudden tragedy of Amar, leaves behind his shocked, grieving, and beautiful fiancée Taran, (played by Neha Sharma).Taran, is thoroughly distraught and refuses to be comforted. She begins to goes into a deep bout with depression as any loss like this would make you do. In her sadness, and to help her cope her subconscious is activated. Taran, begins to see Amar not just in her dreams but in her day to day life.

She (Taran), is introduced to a new young man Skekhar (played by Aditya Seal) by her former fiancée’s (Amar) father (played byKanwaljit Singh). Shekhar is was a close friend of his son.He seems to help bring her out of the depression and grief. Taran appreciates his joyous and funny nature which further lifts the clouds of grief off of her.
However, just when we think that Taran has finally gotten the chance to get over Amar things change again. She begins to settle into this newly found relationship between her and Skekhar. Amar resurfaces seemingly from the grave.

We will find out if Taran and Amar can pick up their relationship where they had started before his accident. However, there are many questions still to be answered. There is the question of the relationship with Skekhar what will happen to him? Amar’s accident and where had he been all of this time still needs to be cleared up and addressed. Will love win in the end? Who knows we’ll see.

The music on “Tum Bin 2” features the talented composers; Ankit Tiwar, and Nikhil-Vinay. Lyrics are penned by ManojMuntashir. The music label is T-Label. The songs featured in the movie are of course romantic and sweeping songs. But there are also a few upbeat, dance songs as well. Even, in the spirit of the first film’s theme song they do a good job of meshing the old one with the new one.
